MEAGHAN WALL:

Hi, spiritual biz owner. Welcome back to the Sacred Wealth Podcast. I am doing some mini-episodes all throughout the month of August and September because I had some juicy IGTV's that I wanted to share with you. And if you're not following me on Instagram, what are you doing? My Instagram is @sacrednumbersco, all one word. And that's where I spend most of my time. That's where I hang out. That's where I share my life, my business, my pro tips. That's where we talk about money. And I hope that you'll join me over there if you're not already.

So this episode is a short, little, punchy episode about pricing your offer. The biggest thing that I want you to take away from this and in the episode, I was saying, it's not that serious, which I felt was a little dismissive. So I wanted to clarify in the intro here that when I say it's not that serious, I'm just saying, go easy on yourself. Give yourself some space, play around with your pricing. Try not to put so much pressure on getting it right the very first time, because I promise it'll change. When you are setting your prices It's not the end all be all. It's not even the most important part of your program. People will pay regardless of how much the offer is priced.

And I'll say that again, people will pay regardless of how much the offer is priced. It's going to be dependent on how you sell, the transformation, how excited you are about the program itself, which determines whether or not people are going to put a value on your program. So when we're talking about prices, that's not necessarily value because when we run a program, we want to under-promise and over-deliver. So you may price a program at $1,500 and it's a two-month, one-on-one program. And the person who buys gets a weekly call for an hour, and then they have maybe some Voxer support or WhatsApp support or chat support on the outside. And that's all they, quote-unquote, get within the program. That's what we're promising. So we're, quote-unquote, only promising a certain number of calls, a certain number of support on the outside.

But when we under-promise and we over-deliver. So when we're over-delivering we are checking in with our clients, making them feel super loved, making them feel super supported, sending them things that make us think about them. Maybe some trainings that you spontaneously came up for them, custom trainings, custom meditations, access to programs that they didn't know that they'd have, recommendations for books or podcasts. All of these things are over-delivering. We're making sure that our clients are feeling so taken care of and in this way, they feel like they're getting more than what they paid for. I have clients telling me all the time that they feel like they are getting more than they've paid for. They learn way more than money from me. And that's something that I really pride myself on. That's important to me in my programs and I will never stop. I will never stop doing that. I will never stop giving more than I promise because my clients are my babies. They're my children. And I want to spoil the shit out of them.

Okay. Back to what I was saying about pricing not being so serious. When I say pricing is not that serious, I don't mean to downplay your emotions about pricing and how important it is to us to be matched energetically from our prices to our programs. All I'm saying is that it's okay to play around with your prices, to land on the right one. In fact, you should. You should constantly be taking in data from your clients about your pricing structure. In all of my programs, I have forms that they fill out so that I can gather data about what they're feeling like is missing from this program, if they're getting more than what they bargained for, and how I can improve the program moving forward. What features do they wish they had? What features would they love to see in the next round? All of this data is extremely important for me to continue giving amazing value to my clients.

And lastly, before I let you get into the episode, I did want to address the limiting scarce self-sabotaging beliefs that are definitely going to show up in your brain when you're trying to come up with these prices. So there are certain thoughts, like, "No one's ever going to pay that. Who might've charged this. Maybe I'll just start out really small." even though I already don't feel like that's enough money. These thoughts and they're so valid, they're there to keep you safe. Because the minute that you open up yourself to criticism, the moment that you open up your business to criticism, your programs to criticism, most likely that criticism will come. And I'm not going to sugarcoat it for you. I've had plenty of people comment on my pricing, especially because I'm a money coach. I have people saying, "Wait, so I have to pay you to teach me how to manage my money better?"

And the answer is a resounding and absolute yes. You do have to pay me. And I am worthy of being paid and my programs offer massive value and massive transformation. So when you inevitably come across these naysayers, these trolls on the internet, remind yourself of all of your qualifications. Remind yourself of everything that makes you worthy of charging your prices and getting paid for the work you do. It is my firmly held belief that we are meant to be paid for the things that we do, especially if we're doing God's work or Spiritual work. And my content is directly tailored toward spiritual business owners who do God's work, who are healing people, and leading people, and coaching people. If you are an intuitive or Spiritual service provider, business owner, entrepreneur, then you absolutely deserve to have everything that you've ever desired. Because desire is a divine right. Why would we desire it if we weren't meant to have it? That's my philosophy.

So to recap, when I say it's not that serious, I'm not downplaying your emotions. I'm not downplaying your stress around the situation of setting your prices. All I'm saying is to give yourself permission to be in a beginning phase. And every new program that you launch is a beginning phase. Even 10 years from now, when you're no longer a new entrepreneur but you're launching a new program, see that as a beginning phase. It's a fun new exploratory phase that is nothing but new information, nothing but new data. You are blazing your own trail, you are exploring an unknown world. And I really hope that you see that as exciting, a little terrifying, but mostly exciting because nothing worth doing is not a little bit terrifying.

So, I love you. I hope you enjoy this episode. And like I said at the top, I'll be doing a mini-episode every week for the month of August and September, instead of my normal biweekly. And if you'd like to hear any specific topics, send me a voice memo through Anchor. That link is in the show notes. I just think they're so fun. So I can't wait to hear from you and I'll see you on the other side.

MEAGHAN WALL:

Hi, everyone. I wanted to talk to you all about pricing. I have a couple of people in my DM’S right now, wanting a little bit more guidance around how to price their offers. I wanted to walk you through my process and then how I coach my clients into figuring out how they want to be compensated.

So my process, I really don't do a lot of looking outside of myself. I come up with a number that feels good to me right off the top of my head. Obviously, if it's a new offering, I don't know the exact amount of time and commitment that's going to go into it when I start running the program. I have an idea of how many hours a week it's going to take me or how much contact I have with my clients, how much energy I'm going to be putting in. So I can gauge that way what feels good to me.

Very quickly, you will find that your prices may be too much or too little. You can gauge that for the amount of energy that you're putting into something, as well as the energy that you're getting out of your clients. So making sure that energies match. I always encourage my clients to start out with whatever number Is popping up in their head. Say, you're doing a masterclass and you're like, "$200 feels good for this masterclass." Run it. Run it once. See how you feel afterward.

There's no pricing scale for these types of things, because the coaching industry, the healing industry, those types of things are very unregulated. So it's not like somebody's sitting here telling you, you can't charge more than $500 for something that you're doing. So I would suggest that you go with your first inclination and then gauge your energy. How did you feel afterward about the amount of money that you received? How did you feel afterward for the amount of energy that the people who paid you put into the event or the program or the session, whatever it is that you're offering?

So going with your first gut instinct is fine, but I can almost guarantee you're going to very quickly realize that it's either way too much or way too little. And that's great. That's perfect. That's what we want. We want trial and error. We want to get down to the bottom of it. That's the whole purpose, right? So once you set that number for yourself and you do the event or the program and you come back and you're gauging your process and you're like, "Okay, that wasn't enough. That didn't feel good to me. I felt drained. I feel like if I do this a lot I'm going to be burnt out very, very quickly."

If that's the case then from there, so we used the $200 mark before, from the $200 mark play around with it. I have a post that's literally like, "Play with your money. Play with small amounts of money. Play with large amounts of money." Let it be fun. It is not the end of the world if you get your first price wrong, it's not. Because you get to experiment and you get to go up and down and left and right with your prices. And nobody's going to know from one person to the next, or one round to the next, or one event to the next, what you were charging before and why you changed your prices. So I want you to feel okay with playing with your money, playing with your price.

So from the $200 mark, you could move up to $500 and see how that feels in your body. Then that may be scary for you because you've never been paid that much before for a single event. Or maybe you've never been paid that much before at all, ever, and you start to get worried and you start getting nervous. Like I said before, it's not that serious. You're not curing cancer. This decision is not so important that it's going to dictate the rest of your life or the rest of your career or the rest of your coaching career.

It's probably the smallest piece of the puzzle. The program itself, the content you're putting into it, is the most important part. Money is going to flow regardless of whether or not you have the perfect pricing for your offer. Now that's not to say that money isn't important when it comes to the energy exchange because there has to be an energy exchange, whether it's money, or whether it's time, or whether it's attention, in order for something to be successful.

So to recap, come up with a number that feels good to you in your body. You can do a little bit of market research. You can look at your mentors, you can look at your friends and what they're offering, what they are charging. But I wouldn't spend too much time going to outside sources for information on what you should be charging.

Most likely you will have some sort of self-sabotaging behavior inside of you that says, "I can't charge that much," or "Nobody will ever pay me that much," or "Who am I to be charging this much?" When this friend 'A' is only charging $150 instead of $200. So the comparison is a subset. You can get little bits of information from people, but really I truly encourage you not to focus. Don't dwell on that part of your pricing.

And then what I wanted to say also is that you are worthy of making money as a Spiritual and Intuitive person. Somebody who does God's work or Lightwork or Healing, those types of people a lot of times, find it difficult to charge for their services because they feel like for some reason that they are supposed to live like a monk in the Himalayas. I am the last person. I do Spiritual Work, I do Energetic Work, I do bank account blessings, and Tarot card reads, and Oracle card pulls. And all of these things, I know that I'm worthy of energy exchange for those offerings.

So all that to say, you deserve it. You deserve to get paid money because money is important. And regardless of how you feel about money, whether you think it's not that important, or whether you think it's the devil, whether you think it's the root of all evil. Whatever stories you have rolling around in your brain. The fact is, is that money is important to our lives, to our families, to our survival and there is a lot that can be good about money.

There's an Amanda Francis quote on my page as well. She says, "The fact is, there is a lot of money out there to be had and I just happen to want a lot of it ." or something like that. And I love that because being unapologetic about your desires is what I'm all about. Be unapologetic about how you want to be rich. What does rich mean to you? Does that mean van life with your dog? Showering in Planet Fitness' across the country? Hell fucking yeah. Go for that shit. Make it everything that you want it to be.

Opting for the things that you love is the most important part of living a Rich Life. So whether it's the Beverly Hills Mansion or whether it's van life across the country, like I just said, be unapologetic. Be about that shit. Go all in. And even if it's not important to you to have like the nicest van or the nicest shower, or the nicest whatever, go for the things that you do want. Don't talk yourself out of having nice things just because you're a van-lifer and you're going to be camping for the next year.

Just because you're going to be camping doesn't mean you can't have nice things. That doesn't mean you can't opt for the nicer van battery or like the nicer tent. All of those things are important if they're important to you. If they're not important to you, then what is important to you? Is it supporting local businesses along the way? Then hell yeah, save all your money for that. Is it supporting campsites that are BIPOC owned or Queer-owned? Hell yes. Go for that shit. So, that was a little bit of a tangent from the pricing.

Do you have any questions about pricing? Do you have any specific questions about pricing? A lot of it is just mental gymnastics. A lot of it is going to be combating self-sabotaging mindset. Thoughts that are going to be popping up when you decide to set a price. So, don't let yourself get bogged down. Like I said, it's not that serious. It's not that big of a deal. Have fun with it and I love you. Bye.
