PODCAST INTRO:
You are tuning into the Sacred Wealth Podcast. I am your host, Meaghan and I am so excited to have you here. Throughout my 10 years in finance, I have come across so much anxiety and fear surrounding money. It is now my purpose to help women become rich, unapologetically.
The goal of this podcast is to empower you, to love your money, to be so ecstatically grateful for what you have, and to feel safe to ask for more. Together, we will figure out what your luxury is and get you on the path to financial freedom.
EPISODE INTRO:
Hi, spiritual biz owner. Welcome back to the Sacred Wealth Podcast. I'm so excited to have you here. I hope you're having a great week. I wanted to talk to you today about needle moving activities or what we like to call money-making activities in our business. Because a lot of times we can get overwhelmed with everything we need to do, especially as the CEO, especially as the owner of the business. Because we have to be all the things. We have to be the promotion manager. We have to be the social media manager. We have to be the advertisement manager, the CFO, every team member that you can possibly think of inside of one person. So it can get overwhelming and it can get confusing to know what exactly I need to be doing every day in order to make money and in order to make my business successful.
But first, let's begin with reading a podcast review that was left. Thank you, Jane, for providing a five-star review. They say, "Great perspective. Meaghan has a wonderful perspective on money management that brings in her own sacred relationships with herself and energy and invites those listening to cultivate and be aware of their own relationships. She's also very kind and willing to connect over on her Instagram. Recommend." Thank you so much, Jane, and truth, truth. I am willing to connect over on Instagram. So if you're not following me on Instagram, my handle is @sacrednumbers, all one word. And that's where I spend most of my time. That's where we get personal and connected. So I'd love it if you join me over there. And when you do, send me a message. I'd love to connect.
Because this episode is very short, it's only about four minutes long from an IGTV that I posted a while back, I wanted to provide a few more money-making activity ideas for you to focus on. The first thing that I wanted to highlight is that we get to be focused on service education over conversion. Yes, conversion is important for having a successful business. We want to have money in the bank. We want to have clients on the roster, but in order to get to that place, we have to establish ourselves as an authority in our field, service, and education. Making sure that people feel seen and heard and held is the most important part. And it's kind of like, which comes first? Is it service and education, or is it people paying us to teach them?
It's kind of both. It goes back and forth. Sometimes we get a client immediately and then we end up establishing ourselves as an authority. So focusing on service and education and not foraying into our business with a sense of desperation and taking anything you can get is extremely important. We want to make sure that we are patient and accepting and trusting in the universe and in ourselves, mainly in ourselves, because we are the ones who are doing the work in our business. We are the ones who have the ability to learn and integrate. And we'll talk about this after I get through a couple more of these points, but we have everything we need inside of us to develop the skills that we need to serve and educate our audience and our clients.
All right. So if you are focused on service and education, this next part is going to be a no-brainer for you. You're not going to struggle with it. I have total faith in you, but to encourage you to stop focusing on vanity metrics. Vanity metrics do not reflect the money in the bank, the number of clients on the roster. They're not pertinent. A number of likes, number of followers, mean nothing in regards to having a successful business. I know plenty of friends who have 10, 20, 30,000 followers who make almost no money. And that's because follower count does not reflect anything about how successful our business is. And it can be hard. I fall prey to it all the time, refreshing and refreshing the likes and refreshing the comments and the listens on the podcast and the traffic to your website. That is time wasted.
Imagine having 500 followers that are engaged and excited and buy from you because you nurture them, you message them, you follow them back, or you send them a little welcome message, or a voice note when they follow you. And they're so excited because it's like, "Wow, this is a human on the other side." And then imagine having 15,000 followers who you don't know, most of them you've never interacted with. Most of them you may have interacted with maybe 1,500 out of 15,000 followers. Imagine, first of all, 500 people. Can you even imagine what 500 people look like in a stadium, in a room? And can you imagine the percentage of those 500 people that you actually need to buy from you in order to be successful? Whatever success means to you. In order to make money, you need a fraction, a tiny decimal percentage, of 500 people to buy from you in one year in order to make a living from your business. So just keep that in mind, vanity metrics are not a metric. They don't measure anything about your business, how successful you are.
Okay. Moving on to the next money-making activity, which I might be a little biased, but I've always felt that hiring a coach has transformed my business every single time, every single time. Even if it wasn't a particularly amazing experience with a coach, I still learned things because I was open to learning things. I was open to having somebody to bounce ideas off of. I was open to learning from somebody about how to coach somebody else or how not to coach somebody else. If I noticed something about a coach that I didn't like, I would resolve in myself, into my business, to not do those same things with my own clients. And coaches can provide so many different perspectives, education. Like I said, learning what not to do.
So hiring a coach, hiring me as your money coach, is going to be transformative to your business. Not only because I teach you way more about money and life and business than just, you know, what banks are best or how to get out of your credit card debt. But also because you get to model your business based on things that you like or don't like about a coaching container with me. So I highly recommend part of your money-making activity, part of your needle-moving activity, schedule, or agenda, be hiring a coach. And you have to hire before you're ready. You have to hire before you're ready before you have the money in the bank because that's what leads to the money in the bank. Coaches expand our minds. They expand our capacity for money, expand our capacity for clients, expand our capacity for challenges.
When we have someone on our team that we can go to as a guide and a mentor, we're able to face so many challenges and hard times and edges and fears because we have someone on our side and we have someone guiding us and holding our hand. Especially if you have family or a partner or kids who are not supportive of you building your own business. Finding a coach who's going to support you and be your cheerleader and have your back and nobody else. That is irreplaceable. There is no value that you can place on that. So all that to say, hire a coach, hire me as your coach, and find that edge. Face that edge because how can you expect someone to invest in your business, invest in your programs, invest in your services if you're not willing to invest in a mentor yourself. I hold that belief very firmly.
Okay. The next thing I wanted to say is kind of giving you an idea of the process of how we learn and implement what we learn. So I've got a little timeline here. It begins with learning, goes to rest and integration, and then it goes to incorporation and implementation. So once you hire a coach and you're learning the things and you're reading all the books and you're listening to all the podcasts, by the way, thank you so much for being here. I'm so glad you're here with me today. I love talking about all things business, all things money. So this is very exciting for me. So after you've learned, it's important to not be in a constant state of learning. We need to not be in a constant state of momentum.
So learning and implementing, to me, are these very momentum-based steps. There's action involved. We're either absorbing or we're expelling and incorporating. So there's this step in between learning and implementing that I would like to consider, rest and integration. After we've learned, we get to rest and make it a part of who we are. Integrate it into our beings, into our soul, into our DNA. Whatever it is that we've learned. Whatever you've learned from this podcast. So say you want to stop focusing on vanity metrics, integrating that into your being as, "I am not someone who cares about how many followers I have," and then identifying what you do care about. Resting with that and integrating that into your DNA.
And after you have fully integrated that, maybe it takes a month, maybe it takes six months, then you're able to implement it into your business. You're actually able to practice what you've been integrating. So you are able to go to your followers, go to your statistics on your Instagram, and not be affected by the numbers that you see in front of you, simply using them as data. And there's nothing wrong with setting goals around reaching new people or expanding your audience or gaining new followers. There's nothing wrong with that. But the point here is not to let it mean anything about you or your business when you don't reach those goals.
And lastly, I wanted to add one last step to that little timeline that I've been talking about. So we have, beginning with learning, going to rest and integration, going to incorporation and implementation, and then finally the last step of that timeline that I see is being able to teach it to your clients. So once you start reaping the rewards of what you've implemented into your business, once you start seeing the difference in your anxiety levels or your mindset, and those things being actively transformational to your business or to your life, then you're able to teach that process to others. So I hope that helps as far as giving you a little idea about how we can take something we learned and then teach it to someone else and use it as a pillar in our business.
And before I let you guys listen to like the four-minute clip of the IGTV, I want to mention my Community Discord. It's called the Sacred Collective Discord and Discord, if you don't know, is just a chat server where you can have different channels. You can hop on video, share music with each other. You can listen to Spotify with each other. It's been so fun for me to cultivate this little community. I have about 50 people in the discord and some of us hop on almost every single day and co-work together. We listen to music together. We share ideas. And that is something that you can use to move the needle. Having a group of people, a community of people, who hold you accountable for the things that you are promising to yourself so that you can follow through on those promises is so transformational.
I have found myself being so much more productive with these people surrounding me. And we cut up and we have fun and I do Monday meditations, guided meditations with one of my private clients, Mara. She's a meditation teacher and she leads a meditation every other Monday inside the group. So it's an extremely beneficial tool that you can use. The link to join that will be in the show notes and I invite you to join us. I would love to have you there. This is your invitation. I am writing you a little love note invitation and here it is being delivered to you through this medium, where we are connecting. I love the podcast. I love being able to connect into your ears, into your subconscious, into your day, as you listen to these episodes.
And I hope that you're enjoying these little shorties because they allow me to repurpose content, which is also an amazing money-making activity. Work smarter, not harder, am I right? And it also allows me to connect more closely with my audience, which is my lifeblood. It's literally my bread and butter. It makes me so excited. All right. So without further ado, I'll let you guys listen to the last two money-making activity tips that I have for you. And if you loved this episode, if you learned something, please write a five-star review on iTunes and your review may be featured in a future episode. And if you'd like to connect with me through voice, if you'd like to leave me a little love note, there is an option to send a voice memo through Anchor. That link will be in the show notes as well, so I can hear your lovely voice and implement it directly into the next podcast episode. I would love that so much. Alright my dears, I'll see you on the other side.
MEAGHAN WALL:
Happy Monday. Mondays are my favorite day of the week and we are going to get it. We are going to get it. So today I wanted to talk about money-making activities and this is something that I've truly found to be a huge difference-maker in my business, just in the last month or so, and that is every single day waking up and asking my business, asking myself, "What do I need to do today to bring in more money?" "What do I need to do today to develop, and bring to maturity, my business? What does it mean? What is the injection of energy that I need to put into my business to make it move forward?" And you'll often hear, "What can we do to move the needle in our business?" That's a very common businessy jargon.
And so I want to just talk about a couple of the ways that I move the needle. The first one being, reaching out to people in the DM's, whether that's your current followers or whether that's people that you just resonate with on Instagram or on Facebook. Going through and directly responding to comments or questions in Facebook groups that you feel like you have expertise on. So connecting directly with your audience is a huge one. I mean, huge. Inviting them, enrolling them into your vortex. Bringing them into the circle, into the community, whatever you call your community. Maybe you don't have a name for it yet, but I call mine the Sacred Collective. And making them feel safe and held and welcome.
And maybe your thing is making them feel triggered. Maybe what you're known for is a little bit more raw and vulnerable. Maybe you bring people's sexuality out. So whatever your thing is, extending that into your DM's, into the comments of posts, into comments on videos. All of these things are great to enroll people into your vortex. And if people are following you on Instagram, then it's a great time to enroll them even further and reach out and say, "Hey, I don't want you to just follow me and then never interact, or just, you know, flow away and I never see you again." So reaching out and getting to know people, showing them that you care is really, really important.
Then the second money-making activity that I want to talk to you about is not putting off the work that needs to go into building your program, or your service, or whatever it is. If you are recording videos if you are developing your skills as a tarot reader, or a Reiki healer, or all of these things, making sure that you're not putting off finishing, perfecting those courses and those skills. It's really important because you're putting energy into your business. You're making sure that your business knows that you're taking it seriously. This is not just a side hustle, we are business owners.
We are CEOs, we are not freelancers. We are business owners. And of course, that's if you want to be a business owner. So the first money-making activity, every single day, when I wake up, "How can I make more money? Who can I reach out to today?" And the second one is, "Where does my energy need to go inside of my business? What do I need to finish recording? When do I need to finish editing? What do I need to finish brainstorming?" So these active activities bring your manifestation closer because manifestation is not a passive process.
I'm sorry to burst your bubble, but we cannot just sit in our beautiful zen dens, close our eyes and have clients fall into our laps. That's just not how it works. So getting active and bringing those people into our vortex is super important. So my question to you is, what can you do today to make more money in your business, to mature your business? I would say do two things, reach out to people and finish something that you've been putting off. Okay, bye.
